My name is Annie and I am looking for my furever home. I am a sweet girl who came into Critteraid care due to no fault of my own. I have been in a wonderful foster home over the holiday season and my New Years resolution is to find a family that will love me for my whole life.
I am an active girl that will need someone who is willing to go on adventures with me. I am shy at first and am still getting used to being in a vehicle. I do get a little car sick still from time to time. This will be my third home, but the first one I was in was not the best place for a puppy to grow up in. I wasn't socialized or even fed properly, and so I am going to need to be the only pet in the home.
I get a little defensive when food is around and there is another dog in the home. I did live with 2 dogs in my 2nd home and as long as everyone was fed separately, I did okay; but I would prefer to be the only dog. My best friend there was another Border Collie, so my foster parents know that I can make dog friends, it just takes time.
There is a kitty that lives in my foster home now, and though I am not mean to her, I do think she is pretty fun to chase if she runs. So small animals and cats are a little too fun for me to live with. I need a dog experienced home that will teach me the ropes so that I can live my best dog life.
If you think you and your family might be a good fit for me, please fill out an adoption application on the Critteraid website at www.critteraid.org. Don't forget to put Little Orphan Annie on the name of the dog you want to adopt! I will be waiting to meet you when you are ready to go on an a new life adventure with a wonderful dog.
