CritterAid puts the FUN in FUNdraising!
Critteraid undertakes a number of fundraising activities on an annual basis. Over the years, we have explored a variety of these fundraisers and we are very proud of our annual endeavours to raise funds for the animals in our care. Below are some of the fundraising events that take place regularly and we hope that you can make an appearance at to show your support. We also welcome your fundraising ideas and encourage you to submit your ideas to us in order to add to our fundraising efforts for the animal community in the Okanagan.
Critteraid Charity Thrift Shoppe
The Critteraid Charity Thrift Shoppe opened in Summerland was opened in 2012.
Open 6 days a week, this unique shoppe offers the shopper an array of miscellany. This is the place to find the “thing” that you remember from when you were six years old; or, the latest book or kitchen ware that you don’t have to spend a hunk of your hard-earned paycheque to own.
Critteraid Donation Tins
Our Donation Tins continue to provide us with coins on an ongoing basis and we are grateful to the merchants who display our tins on their store counters. Please contact us (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are interested in hosting one of our donation tins at your place of business or if you would like to Volunteer in one of the Okanagan communities to manage a charity tin route.
Every year we sell calendars to fundraise for care and maintenance of the animals in residence here at Critteraid Farm. They’re the perfect holiday gift for the animal lovers in your life!

The fabulous I Heart Animals Banquet is held every second year on a Friday in February at the Penticton Lakeside Resort, and both people and well-behaved pooches are welcome! The event features a scrumptious dinner, silent auction, great entertainment, door prizes, and more. The Critteraid Volunteer of the Year is announced at this event and a presentation of current Critteraid events is showcased to the attendees. This is such a great event where you can take the family dog and have loads of fun!

Mutt Strutters meet in Summerland at theSummerland Animal Clinic at 9311 Jubilee Road to muster for the Strut in the Action Festival Parade! Strutters submit their pledges for themselves and their dog. The Mutt Strut is a very popular part of the Action Festival Parade and pledgers reaching more than $25 will receive a Critteraid T-Shirt and a Bandana and Goody Bag for their dog! The dogs love hearing the cheers as they walk along the parade route!
Special thanks to the Summerland Animal Clinic for their ongoing support of this great event and to Val and Ron at Pet Pantry in Penticton for their incredibly, fantastic Goody Bags for each strutting dog!

ResQwalk is a mobile app that enables you to raise money for Critteraid animals and earn prizes every time you go for a walk.
Just install the ResQwalk app on your phone, set up your account, and choose Critteraid from the list of available animal charities under “My Rescues”. Whenever you go for a walk, start the app and click “Start Walk”.
Every step you take is counted towards Critteraid’s share of an available pool of money (updated weekly) from ResQwalk that is divided among all of their participating animal charities. The more you walk, the greater percentage of the money from the pool gets donated to Critteraid.
The app is available for iPhone and Android.
